Green Home Stay Training

In line to the Government development plan to make North Sulawesi as Specific Economic Zone (KEK) for maritime tourism ‘super priority’ development, it would be strategic as well to increase equity in economic access of local community in surrounding the KEK. For this, the project has facilitated a blended training module, namely financial education, Bumdes (Village enterprise), Start your green business and green homestay for local trainers (ToT) from Polimanado, Klabat University and Tonsea Union Foundation (TUF) as well as local Government.

Following the ToT, the local trainers from Polimanado and Klabat University conducted a training for beneficiaries (ToB) to two targeted villages, namely Budo and Tiwoho including after training supports (ATS). In Budo village, the beneficiaries are utilizing the existing a tourist spot of Dermaga (small pier) to start bumdes and individual business plan. A number of visitors are now charged with ticket to enter it and some cafes/restaurant have developed in surrounding the dermaga.

Training of Beneficiaries (ToB) on home stay will be held on 1-3, 6 and 7 September 2021

Budo Village

  • There were 18 participants who took part in this activity consisting of 8 female and 10 male

Tiwoho Village

  • There were 20 participants involved in the process consisting of 19 female and 1 male.
