Workshop Design Lesson Plan Softskill based on National and International
As part of the implementation of the UK Skills for Prosperity on Improving Skill Development System in TVET Institutions in Indonesia project with Manado State Polytechnic, one was chosen to develop the D4 International Tourism Management (D4-ITM) study program curriculum. It develops soft skills needed by industry, both with national and international standards through tracer studies.
The workshop activities held from Friday to Sunday 10-12 September 2021 at the Grand Puri Manado Hotel.
Workshop participants are internal Polimanado lecturers from the Department of Tourism who will teach 13 core subjects of ITM. The participants are expected to be able to develop soft skills learning plans which will be integrated into 13 D4-ITM courses
6 speakers representing the tourism industry will be invited to the workshop to share their experiences in the talkshow session including:
- Panca R Sarungu, Jakarta CEO Raja MICE presenting MICE via zoom
- Sigit Budiarso Presenting hotel industry (GM Mercure hotel)
- Yos Amerta owner of JODANG Restaurant and Ecobeach Resort Makawidey Bitung
- Katiman Herlambang, presenting diving operator, NDC and Manado Scuba
- Juvendi Rompis head of ASTINDO outbond and InBond Tour
- Jefri Rompis Head of ASPPI North Sulawesi.
Three Speakers who will deliver soft skills policies and programs include:
- Dr. Drs. Ludfi Djajanto, MBA Presenting Ministry of National Education, Jakarta via zoom, related to national standards on soft skills in the learning process
- Leohansen Simatupang presenting ILO Jakarta related to framework Softskills
- Mareyke Alelo Director of Manado State Polytechnic related to Manado State Polytechnic policy regarding the implementation of soft skills in supporting independent campuses and independent learning.
